Sometimes you just have to go to Whole Foods and spend an hour in their beauty department. And by sometimes I mean all of the time.
They've got so many different skin, body, and hair care products, plus their entire make up selection. All of these things makes for a lovely haul post every now and then, so I'll get right down to sharing my most recent Whole Foods beauty purchases.
Eyeshadow Trio in Espresso // Mineral Fusion
I am planning on doing more make up related posts this month, so I needed to pick up some eye shadow and lip products and the like.
I love the idea of trios because a full palette may not get used a lot, but with a trio you get three colours that work together to create a really pretty look.
I love the name of this trio for obvious reasons, and of all of the Mineral Fusion'trios, this one was my favourite. I've been using the lighter shade all by itself on lazy days for a little colour. It's nicely pigmented, and it goes on really well, and over all I'm quite happy with it.
Lipstick in Flashy // Mineral Fusion
I really needed a red lipstick because I didn't have one! I just have a lot of pinks and peaches, so I wanted to change it up a bit.
I'm also looking at getting maybe a cranberry lipstick too. I like this formula, it's a little more hydrating than most lipsticks, and I really love the colour. A lot of reds seem to have orange or cranberry in them, and I wanted a straight up red lip.
Green Tea & Rose Hydrating Serum // John Master Organics
I needed a new serum for the morning, and finding one was a challenge. So many serums have Vitamin C in them, which is great for brightness, but you don't want to use those in the morning because it'll make your skin more susceptible to the sun's rays.
In the end, I discovered John Masters Organics, a brand I've never heard of before. I love the simple, apothecary style packaging and so far, I love this serum.
It sinks in quickly just like a serum should, it's calming, and it smells delicious. My skin has been looking a lot clear and calmer and I owe it all to this.
Aloe Mint Cooling Body Lotion // Andalou Naturals
I had to pick up another one of my favourite lotions!
I've tried both the Clementine Ginger and the Citrus Verbena scents, and I love them both so much, but I went for this minty fresh scent this time around.
It is a sweet mint that is super fresh and is pretty cooling, which is great for the summer. These lotions have such a great formula - they're so hydrating, but they sink in right away and leave my skin so soft. Plus they're really affordable, so you can buy a bunch and try all of the different scents!
Lavender Shea Hand Cream // Andalou Naturals
I've talked about these so much I feel like I should just link you to all of the posts where I've mentioned them. But that's a bit lazy, so I'll just give you a quick run down.
Similar to the body lotions, these are super hydrating, but the cream sinks in right away, and there's no greasy feeling after. I love their scents, but I do wish they'd come out with a few more, like their body lotions.
Have you checked out Whole Food's beauty department?
Until next time,
