As the temperatures continue to drop, I'm all for having more baths. They're the number one way for me to forget about the day and to just relax. I love using different green beauty products to treat myself and boost the relaxation vibes.
If you don't have a bath tub, don't worry! You can still have the most relaxing shower ever with these tips.
Bath salts are the easiest and most affordable way to treat yourself. You can find epsom salts in most drug stores and bulk stores, which gives you a zero waste bath option.
Epsom salts help to relieve tension and stress, allowing your muscles to really relax and repair themselves.
You can also buy prepared blends from brands like Lavami. Lavami has three blends made with different kinds of healing salts, flowers, herbs, and oils. They're all really relaxing and smell absolutely wonderful.
Bath oils are my favourite way to take a soak and hydrate my skin in one go. I love healing oils* infused with calendula and lavender to help relax my muscles and soothe my skin.
If you want to make your own, try infusing your favourite oil, like coconut, almond, or even olive, with your favourite herb for one month. Then strain the oil to remove the herbs and flowers and add a few drops to your bath water.
Bath bombs are the most popular ways to enjoy a bath. And for good reason too. They're really fun, bubbly, they usually smell amazing and have bright colours. Thankfully, there are so many green beauty options that don't have chemicals or parabens.
I love the ones from Koya Natural Skincare as they're natural and made locally. If you want a wide and unique range of scents and ingredients, check out the selection from Purple Urchin. Made in Ottawa, they have ten different scents!
