Today I want to share an incredibly simple hair rinse that's changed my hair.
The last time I had my hair cut, my stylist noticed I had some product build up. I don't use a lot of products, so I suspected it was the shampoo I wasn't crazy about. After switching it for another, turns out I was right. But I still had some build up, and I could feel it in my hair.
My hair felt heavy, and it looked weighed down, and a little greasy, even after just washing it.
My stylist, who has been doing my hair for eight years, who I trust completely, recommended a baking soda rinse. And this simple rinse completely changed my hair.
It went from weighed down, and even greasy, back to it's usual healthy self. My hair actually looked lighter in colour and texture, had more volume, and it was so much easier to deal with.
The Recipe //
Like I said, this is the simplest trick ever.
- One part baking soda
- Three parts water
Combine the two in a bowl. Jump in the shower and thoroughly wet your hair. Dump the rinse onto your hair and leave it for a minute. Then make sure to thoroughly rinse your hair clean before shampooing and conditioning.
That's it. Now this isn't something you want to do often, it's just a trick to keep in mind whenever you're experiencing a lot of build up. With a good hair care routine, this won't be often, but nobody's hair is perfect, so it's a wonderful trick to have.
If you give this a go, let me know how it works for you!
Until next time,
