Sundays are the best time for a pamper evening. I think it's just an unwritten rule. I love taking time to relax and regroup before the week begins.
I start by making some hot tea. I usually opt for caffeine free teas after noon.
Then I have a luxurious hot bath while I catch up on blogs, YouTube videos, shows, and magazines. This week I am catching up on magazines so I read the November issue of Allure (hello Kerry Washington) and am finishing up the second issue of Bella Grace.
I like to use natural bath products, like Aura Cacia's Warming Balsam Fir Bath Salts. The salts soften my skin while the pine and cinnamon scent lingers throughout the entire bath.
I follow up my bath with unscented Shea butter by Every Day Shea.
A pamper evening calls for a good face mask, like the Herbivore Botanical's Brighten clay mask. I've been so excited to try this brand, and I'mm so happy with everything I've used so far. I love clay masks, and am happy to find one that really does brighten up my skin, especially during the grey winter days.
I painted my nails with O.P.I's Lincoln Park After Dark and used Essie's Summit of Style on my ring fingers. I love gold, so giving gold nail polish a go was definitely something I wanted to try. I have heard a lot of people say sparkly and glittery nail polish is messy or hard to apply, but this gold glitter is absolutely perfect. The holidays may be over, but the glitter and dark colours are staying on my nails.
What are your favourite ways to have a pamper evening?
Until next time,
