You never know when you'll need a quick refresh. A bit of perfume, some hand cream, touch of lip balm, that kind of thing. I'm not one for carrying around a makeup bag because it's just too much to deal with, and the most I'll touch up is my lipstick. But I definitely need my beauty essentials with me at all times.
Compact Mirror //
While I've only used this a handful of times, it's super handy when you can't find a bathroom or mirror and you just have a feeling your lipstick is off or that there's something on your face.
Hair Ties + Bobby Pins //
I try to keep my hair down for the most part because I know as soon as I get home I'll throw it up. It just gets in the way a lot, which is why I had a pixie cut for three years. But I've got longer hair now so the worst feeling is when you're trying to focus on something and your hair keeps getting in your face. Hair ties and bobby pins are one of the ultimate beauty essentials.
Soothing Aloe Vera Deodorant Stick // Jason
Nobody wants to be the stinky kid. And deodorants are pretty small and easy to carry, so keeping one in your bag isn't a bad idea. Maybe you rushed out the door this morning and totally forgot, or maybe you just need a refresh after a long walk across campus. I adore this one because it isn't irritating, it actually works, and it's got a "fresh" scent that doesn't clash with my perfume or lotion.
Lavender Natural Hand Sanitizer Gel // EO Prsoducts
If you're into green beauty, you know conventional soaps are a nightmare. But you want to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom right? The solution - a tiny bottle of soap or in this case, hand sanitizer. I love the small size, the lavender scent, and the non drying effect! There's no alcohol in here so you won't feel the need to hydrate your hands for ten solid minutes after use.
Hydrating Facial Wipes // derma e
Everytime I really needed a wipe, I didn't have one. So now I've bought multiple packs and keep them everywhere. Maybe you're makeup looks too heavy in natural light? Maybe you need to clean up after a rainy walk? Who knows! But wipes are always handy. These ones are lovely because they're actually hydrating so my skin doesn't feel stripped after.
Lavender Hand Cream // Andalou Naturals
A hand cream is always a must. Dry hands are the worst, especially in the colder months. Andalou's hand creams are super moisturizing, they smell divine and they help keep my hands soft and nourished. They're also really affordable, so buying a few at a time isn't going to break the bank.
Cocoa Butter Lip Balm // Vaseline Lip Therapy
Another one of my beauty essentials - a lip balm! I love the Vaseline lip balms and I know they're not the most natural, but after having a lot of rashes and irritations with natural lip balms, this was the only thing that actually soothed and hydrated my lips instead of making them feel dry and irritated. The cocoa butter is a nice touch and these are ridiculously small so they can fit in the smallest of hand bags.
Agave Lip Mask in Champagne // Bite Beauty
If you forgot about an important event and need something more than a lip balm, this lip mask is perfect. It's very hydrating but it's got a nice gloss that makes your look a bit more put together. There are a few other shades as well so you can pick one that's going to match your style.
I love having the reassurance of my beauty bag. I know I've got everything I need so I can focus on my day. What beauty essentials do you keep in your bags?
Until next time,
