This post was inspired by one of my Twitter followers who suggested writing about my favourite brands. I thought it was a good idea because now that I've been blogging for almost three years, the brands and products I use have changed. My skin has different needs, I've got a different budget, and the world of green beauty has really exploded in recent years. So today I'm happy to share my go to brands for different parts of my beauty routines.

Skincare is my favourite part of my beauty routine so it's important that I can rely on a brand to craft excellent and effective products. Sattva Pure does just that with their line for Dry and Sensitive skin.
The three step system is incredibly effective for not only hydrating my dry skin, but soothing redness and irritation. After the routine my skin is left looking incredibly clear and calm, and it feels so balanced.
If you've got normal, combination or oily skin, Sattva Pure makes a line for you too. I've got problem skin that breaks out in the warmer months so I'm planning on trying their Renew + Refresh Hydrating Mist next.
When it comes to body care, Urban Alchemist is my go to. Their products are made with just a few simple ingredients that work together to hydrate, heal, and nourish.
My favourite product is their Rosemary + Mint Body Butter that's got a luxurious, whipped texture that's both light and moisturizing. This herbal remedy is incredibly nourishing and has a delicious, soothing, herbal and refreshing scent.
Their Sweet Orange + Spice Body Scrub is a natural twist on a festive classic and pairs well with their Sweet Orange + Ylang Ylang Body Butter. I also love their Cardamom Sugar Body Scrub for a cozy and spicy scrub.
I'm currently working on creating a zero waste hair care routine but it's been an interesting, trial and error process. If you've got any tips, zero waste recipes or products you recommend, please let me know!
In the mean time, I used to adore Acure Organics hair care line. Everything I've tried has worked wonderfully, especially their Dry Shampoo, which I'm still using up. I'm excited to make my own dry shampoo but also a little sad because this product is more than a dry shampoo. It adds lots of volume and texture to my hair, making my hair routine super simple and easy to do.
I also love their Clarifying Shampoo and their Volume Conditioner. The pair worked well to keep my hair soft and manageable, but also gave it a bit of a lift, which I definitely need. Considering how well they work and the price point, I'll be honest it's taking a lot of willpower to not go back, but I know once I figure out a zero waste routine it'll be so worth it!
There isn't one brand I use for all of my makeup products, but I have a few brands I love for different parts of my makeup routine.
When it comes to eye makeup and lipsticks, I'm all about Mineral Fusion. Their eye shadows are unbeatable. They're made with clean ingredients, are gluten free, come in beautiful shades, and are affordable. Their lipsticks are also made with great ingredients, they're hydrating and long lasting, the shades are beautiful, and they're affordable.
The newest Mineral Fusion palette, Enchanted, is my favourite. You can see a close up here and swatches here. I haven't put together a look yet because of a medical issue with my eyes (don't worry, it's minor and should be cleared up by the end of the Summer!) but I'm hoping to put some together as soon as my eye heals.
Makeup Looks feat. Mineral Fusion
When it comes to base products like concealers and foundations, I'm currently using up a lot of my older products but I've been loving the Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation. It offers light, matte coverage that easily hides redness and irritation and most blemishes, although I use concealer to double up on bigger spots.
I'm also looking forward to trying the Alima Pure Cream Concealer once I've emptied the one I'm currently using.
I'm not able to paint my nails often, but when I do I usually reach for a Mineral Fusion polish. They're 5-Free, long lasting, and are really affordable. They're also easy to work with and you only need one, maybe two, coats. My favourite is the Rusty Rum polish that you can see here.
I hope this breakdown helps you find new green beauty products to share. I'd love if you shared your favourite brands in the comments below!
