I recently did a bit of beauty shopping, so I thought I'd try everything and tell you my first impressions.
Activate Facial Mask // Herbivore Botanicals
Though my skin has calmed down in the last few months, it still gets a bit angry every now and then. This week I wanted to clean out my pores and reduce redness, so I reached for this mask.
I love the scent, it's very earthy and reminds me of a spa. After ten minutes, I washed it off and found that my skin wasn't dried out, but left looking just glowy and radiant. The clay in this mask help to pull out the impurities, gently detoxing your skin without stripping it.
Kombucha Enzyme Exfoliating Peel// Andalou Naturals
Most exfoliating products are very harsh and can irritate sensitive skin. This is for "Active & Oily Skin" so I was nervous to try it, but I love drinking Kombucha, so why not use it on my face?
Despite my concerns, this left my skin super soft and glowy. I felt refreshed and my skin felt clean but not squeaky clean. The scent was fruity, but not overpowering and it didn't linger, nor did it irritate my skin. I'm pretty pleased and surprised to have been able to find a product like this.
Tumeric + C Englighten Serum // Andalou Naturals
I read about this on Andalou Natural's Facebook page, and I was so intrigued!
This is supposed to help with acne scars, which I have a lot of, and includes Vitamin C, which my skin loves. But this actually made my skin burn a little bit, and it only lasted for a few seconds, so I am not sure if the Vitamin C concentration is higher than I am used to, or if my skin was left a little extra sensitive because of the mask and peel.
I will have to play around with it some more, but I really liked the texture of this serum, it was creamier than most, which normally makes it more hydrating, something I am all for.
Firming Silk Concentrate // Own Beauty
Though I'm only nineteen, I'm all about products that hydrate my skin and have anti aging properties.
This is such an unusual product; it is completely clear and went on almost like a dry oil. I am not a fan of dry oils, but I'm going to look into getting a full size of this, because like I said I am all for anti aging goodness.
Until next time,
