Fall is here! Fall and Spring are my favourite seasons because it's not too hot, not too cold, you can wear shorts or jeans, have hot or iced coffee - there's so many options! I'm excited for jeans and sweaters and cozy cups of tea all day long, not to mentioned the wonderful Fall TV options we have - Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder are my favourites, obviously.
All of the usual "life" stuff aside, Fall skincare is pretty lovely too. I get to break out my moisturizing balms and hydrating toners to keep my skin soft, hydrated, and glowy all season long. On Wednesday, we chatted about my morning skincare routine, and today I want to chat about my evening routine. For those of you who are new to the blog (welcome!) I have dry and sensitive skin and I sometimes deal with some acne. So my routine is all about hydration and nourishing my skin. Let's get started.
Chamomile Sumptuous Cleansing Balm // The Body Shop
I've been using this for the past year and I still love it. It's so relaxing to use - the balm has a really silky, luxurious texture that instantly melts your makeup and leaves you with super soft and hydrated skin. I love that my makeup comes off so easily and I love that it doesn't strip my skin. It's a favourite product of mine.
Organic Facial Toner // Acure Organics
If you've read my morning routine, you'll know I talked about this already. I tend to use the same toner morning and night because it simplifies things. With that said, this is a lovely toner for the colder months because it's got more hydrating ingredients than most. There's lavender, chamomile, calendula, and witch hazel. All of those organic ingredients give you hydrated and soothed skin despite the cold weather.
Soothing Serum // Juice Beauty
Juice Beauty was one of the first natural beauty brands I discovered, but I wasn't able to find them in store, so I never bought anything. When I went to the States in May I picked up this serum, and I've fallen in love. I love serums to begin with - they're my favourite part of my skincare routine. This has simple, glass packaging with a cute little dropper. The serum sinks in quickly and the ingredients really help calm my skin. I'm so in love I'm planning on picking up two more of their serums when I visit the States again in December.
Brightening Night Balm // 100% Pure
I started using an intensive balm last Winter and it seriously saved my skin. But it was so cold that I still had to use a facial oil for maximum hydration. The beauty of using a balm in the Fall is you can skip the facial oil, saving you time and money! I love this one, it's made my skin really bright and glowy despite the gross, cloudy days we've been having. It's also ridiculously moisturizing and my skin is still soft and hydrated when I get up the next morning. I think this has become one of my favourite moisturizers.
Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream // 100% Pure
This was also in my morning skincare routine if you haven't given that a look yet. In the morning I want to help create a hydrated base for makeup and make my eyes look more awake, but in the evening I just want simple hydration, and this is great. It's a smooth eye cream that is nourishing without causing irritation, making it one of my essentials.
I hope you find some ideas for your Fall skincare routine! What products do you like to use when the weather gets cold?
