I love putting together gifts that are simple, thoughtful, and environmentally friendly. With Mother's Day just around the corner, and Father's Day not too far behind, I want to share some simple ways to give the gift of self care. Feel free to mix and match these ideas to your budget and your person. Happy gifting!
Essential oils are a great go to for gifts. They're incredible useful and you have so many to choose from that it's difficult to buy the wrong one. I always like going with lavender because it's so healing and has lots of different uses.
Bar of Soap or a Candle.
I put these in the same category because they kind of remind me of standard beauty gifts. But you can make them really special by finding a luxurious, natural bar of soap without lots of packaging.
You can also find zero waste candles in pillars that come in all sizes and last for a really long time.
This can be hit or miss, but some of my favourite books have been gifts. If you know your person likes reading, try to see what books they have and what they like. It's an easy way to remind them to take some time for themselves.
Jar of Loose Leaf Tea or Coffee Beans.
Sometimes a cup of tea or coffee can make everything better. Giving a jar of chamomile tea can help someone unwind, or a fair trade, organic cup of coffee can help revive their energy.
Plants or Seeds.
A DIY Personal Care Product.
I love taking time to make something for someone. Whether it's an Aloe Scrub, putting together a jar of herbs for a face steam, or a jar of infused oil, taking time and care to make something for someone is always a good idea.
