I'm not sure I'd call myself an athlete anymore, but I do have a very active lifestyle. I'm sure a lot of you are also pretty active and interested in a healthy lifestyle.
In honour of your health and wellness, I want to share a few green beauty products every athlete should use. They're going to help you feel your best so you can concentrate on your sport.
How could I not start with this one? We all need a deodorant that's going to keep us smelling great, no matter the sweat level. I highly recommend the Soothing Aloe Vera Deodorant Stick from Jason. It's got a very light, fresh scent but it actually works through your workouts. It's also gentle, non irritating, and very accessible.
2. Face Wipes
I can't believe I'm recommending face wipes, but it's only for this one purpose! I promise.
Face wipes are so handy when you're on the go. I use them before yoga classes if I've had makeup on all day. It's a very quick, easy way to get rid of most of your makeup before you sweat. But that being said, I do recommend a proper cleanse later on.
I think the Hydrating Facial Wipes from Derma E are the best. They're not necessarily hydrating, but they don't leave your skin feeling tight. They're also non irritating and they don't have a weird smell or anything.
3. Epsom Bath Salts
Everyone should be using these, to be honest. When I was a competitive weightlifter I used to have hot baths two to three times a week, and for each bath I'd use several cups of salts.
It's a fantastic way to unwind, de-stress, and repair your body. As an athlete, muscle repair is super important and this is a simple way to add to your recovery process.

There are a lot of indoor sports. I've always been an indoor athlete, so this was never a big one. But if you're an outdoor swimmer, a softball player, or any other sport that's outside, you need a good sunscreen.
My favourites for your face are the DIY Booster SPF 30 Facial Serum by Andalou Naturals and the Argan Oil Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 by 100% Pure. Both are hydrating, soothing, and effective. They're also small enough to throw into any bag.
When it comes to your body I recommend the Badger Baby Sunscreen Cream SPF 30 because it's so hydrating and soothing. Yes, I use the baby one. It's got chamomile in it, so it's great for my sensitive skin. If you're not down for that, there are Sport Sunscreens too!
