For the most part, I love the beauty products I buy. I'm pretty picky when it comes to getting new things, so it works out that I love almost everything.
But sometimes, there is a product that I just don't love. Products that don't work well, that smell weird, or whatever, but they are definitely not going to be repurchased.
I've had a few of these lately, so I thought I'd write up a little post on them to warn you about their lack of perfection.
Vanilla Moisturizing Body Lotion // Everyday Shea
I'm so disappointed about this. I love Everyday Shea's pure Shea butter. It's so thick and hydrating, it's affordable, fair trade, and they have a few different scents that all smell delicious.
This is affordable, and fair trade, but it is no where near as good. This smells horrible. I don't know what it smells like, but definitely not vanilla. It isn't hydrating at all, the lotion just kind of sits on my skin and barely sinks in. My body feels really dry when I'm using this, and the smell is awful, so it's a really big disappointment.
Mascara // 100% Pure (Not Available Anymore)
I held off on buying 100% Pure's mascara for a while, and mostly for the price. But after trying out this sample, I'm so pleased I never bought it.
It barely does anything to my lashes. I don't really see a difference in volume, length, anything. They are a tiny bit darker with the mascara, but otherwise there's no difference.
The brush also feels really cheap, and the packaging is crap. The designs have rubbed off and I haven't even been using it for that long.
Liquid Eyeliner in Azure // Zuzu Luxe
I used to love eyeliner and I wore it everyday throughout highschool. But lately I just can't be bothered. I think it makes my eyes look weird and I'm not very good at it anymore.
But since I started blogging I wanted to give it another go. But I am so disappointed with this eyeliner. The colour applies unevenly, and I don't even find it to be a really black colour, it looks like almost a dark grey. It's really weird, I'm not sure if I just got a weird product or what, but I'm not going to be buying this again.
Have you had any disappointing products lately?
Until next time,
