Hi everyone, I hope you're well! Today I'm reviewing some of my December non beauty favourites.
Organic Ginger Aid Tea // Tea Medicinals
Ginger adds a spicy, unique flavour to food. It's really beneficial for digestion so I add it to lots of recipes and almost all of my green juices.
It's also great for helping with nausea. I always get motion sick when I fly so I've started drinking ginger tea before I travel. It works well with Gravol to decrease the nausea and help me feel more comfortable.
I've also started drinking it at the end of the day for a little extra digestion help. This one by Tea Medicinals is my favourite because it's organic and has a full, spicy kick that really helps my digestion system.
Caffe Verona K Cups // Starbucks
I love coffee. And I love going through the process of brewing a good cup. But when you're traveling for the holidays it's dfficult to bring your Chemex along for the ride.
A lot of people have Keurigs now. So going to Starbucks and getting my favourite brew in a K cup is really easy. The process of brewing isn't as enjoyable, nor is the flavour as perfect, but the convenience and simplicity is.
Chocolate Hazelnut Butter // Justin's
We don't have Justin's in Canada. So for those of us who prefer a plant based diet, we're a bit out of luck in the Nutella department.
But when I come back to the States I always pick up a jar or two. With no animal ingredients and just a little sugar, Justin's is a delicious, chocolatey, vegan treat.
Snap Instant Digital Camera // Polaroid
This was gifted to me as an early Christmas present. I was a little surprised at first because I already have three cameras; a DLSR for blogging, a point and shoot, and an old film camera I used in high school. But then I started playing around with this and it's already one of my favourite cameras.
For the most part, I take photos for my blog or for Instagram. I love capturing pretty flat lays and beautifully organized photos. But I don't really do any "personal" photography.
In the past few weeks I've been able to start taking photos again just because. Not for a blog post or for Instagram or Twitter or for anyone but me. I can capture simple things around me that aren't necessarily perfect or show worthy. But they're bits of my life and they look super cute on little polaroids.
P.S. I love that they print right before my eyes. It's so cool. Also, this camera is digital and film. I have all of my images saved on an SD card, but I also have a table full of little snapshots. I wish I'd gotten myself one of these a long time ago.
What were your December non beauty favourites?
Until next time,
