How Does it Work?
If you've never spray tanned before, like me, it can seem overwhelming. The Chocolate Sun has very thorough instructions on their website, so please read those before you start spraying!
I recommend doing any other self care treatments the night before. If you shave, go ahead and shave your legs. Use a scrub to remove dead skin. Paint your nails, use a face mask, whatever treatments you do to make yourself feel relaxed.
All in all, it's not too complicated. I made a few mistakes, but they were fixed by gently wiping a towel over the area to smooth everything out.
What Am I Supposed To Do While it Drys?
I thought I was going to feel wet and sticky all day, so I completely cleared my schedule. But I was pretty dry and able to do some things around the house, like blogging and reading.
However, you don't want to get wet or sweat, so take the day off from the gym and leave the dishes in the sink.
Note: These photos were taken at different times of the day and have not been edited.
How Well Does it Work?
I loved the results. The colour was very natural and looked wonderful. It wasn't too dark, nor too light so it genuinely looked like a natural tan.
The results do fade in about a week, which I feel is a pretty short time. I just don't have the room in my schedule to spray tan every week. But the upside is that if you really mess up, it'll be gone in a week.
So What Do You Think Overall?
I loved it. I honestly think it's the best option out there for a natural, organic tan without the intense sun exposure.
I loved the colour, the natural glow, and how well it worked. But I don't love that it's something you have to maintain weekly.
For me, this is something I'll purchase for an event.
