I hope you've all had a great August! Let's dive right in to some beauty favourites.
Wildwoods Charcoal Soap* // Woodlot
I love this bar of soap because the detoxifying charcoal has really helped to clear up the acne on my back and shoulders, something I never thought possible.
It's also hydrating and doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped. It's also great as a shaving soap because it lathers really well!
And I love supporting Canadian brands so it's a win win all around with this one.
Rest & Repair Body Lotion* // Healing Haus
At the Pure + Simple #sofreshsogreen event in July, I was able to meet with the founder of Healing Haus, a brand dedicated to green beauty products and Naturopathic health.
I'm very picky with lotions, as I find they're either too watery or too thick, not effective, or just too heavy. This one is just right. Packaged in a glass jar, it's made with organic ingredients like aloe vera, beeswax, coconut oil, and essential oils.
It's a lighter cream but it's very hydrating. I'll be making this my go to body cream from now on!
Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk // Andalou Naturals
This cleanser is a light and fresh cleanser that's perfect for soothing irritated skin. It's for dry skin types, but I find it's not overly hydrating.
It's been very helpful for reducing inflammation over the past few weeks as I'm adjusting my skincare routine to fit my skin's needs.
Pure Satin Matte Foundation // Alima Pure
I've been loving this foundation to cover blemishes and redness without being too heavy. It's a great way to quickly create bright skin with a matte finish.
My favourite brush to use with this powder is the Contour Brush* from FitGlow Beauty.
Universalist Multi Use Colour Stick in Nude Flush // W3ll People
I love multi use products. I mostly use this as a blush and lip product, but I've also used it as a highlighter. I love that it's creamy, easy to use all over, it gives you a natural look, and it's long lasting.
What were your beauty favourites for this month?
