I'm not one to hoard. I prefer clean drawers and streamlined shelves. But sometimes, you get gifts with purchases, things go on sale, and you end up with a drawer full of products that you're excited to try, but that you won't be using right away. After all, you only have one face. So in case you're looking for some new serums to try, I thought I'd show you what are in my beauty drawers.
Fruit Stem Cell Revitalize Serum* // Andalou Naturals
After hearing I had a bad reaction to one of their SPF creams, Andalou was generous enough to send me this serum to test. I'm currently planning on reviewing all of their serums in one big post, but first I've got to use all four of them! I'm most excited for this one because it's made for dry and sensitive skin, just like mine. This also has lots of antioxidants to nourish your skin, something I definitely need!
Willow Bark Pore Serum* // Andalou Naturals
My idea to try all of the Andalou serums means I have to include this one too. It's meant for more oily, problematic skin types, and while I have problematic skin, it's definitely not oily. So we'll see how it goes. The ingredients combine to create an acne fighting powerhouse with willow bark, which is wonderful for it's anti inflammatory and astringent properties, there's peppermint oil for deep cleansing and meadowsweet extract to combat impurities, and of course there's soothing witch hazel that is well known for combating acne. I'm really hoping this helps to shape up my acne prone areas without drying out the rest of my skin.
1000 Roses Absolute Serum* // Andalou Naturals
This was another serum sent to me to test and while I haven't gotten to it, my anticipation is growing. When this line came out this was one of the first products I wanted to try, but for some reason I still haven't. I've loved the day and night creams from this collection, and the body butter is heavenly. As soon as I'm done my current serum this one is going to be put into play.
Dark Spot Remover // 100% Pure
I received this in a gift with purchase and I'm so pumped about it. For the most part, my skin is pretty clear, thanks to my diligent skincare routine and eating tons of green things. But I do have a lot of problems around my chin area, and I was looking closely the other day, and most of the spots aren't even new spots. They're just red and purple scars from years of acne. So this is where this beauty comes in, and I've got really high hopes for this one. The ingredients are unusual but still very natural, like bayberry fruit extract, matsutake mushroom extract, and red algae. I don't expect it to work over night, but I'm going to take before and after pictures and see if there are any improvements.
Brightening Serum // 100% Pure
I received this in the same gift with purchase as the serum above. This one is going to be awesome when it gets really cold and dark and my skin starts to lack life. Vitamin C and brightening serums are essentials during Winter because they help nourish and brighten your skin, helping you look like your glowy, usual self.
Serums are my favourite part of skincare so it's not surprising that I have five extras in my beauty drawers. Have you tried any of these? Tell me your thoughts!
