Happy Canada Day! As you read this, I hope you're drinking something cold and relaxing outside. I will be moving. But I'm so excited to move, I don't even care that it's on a holiday. If you're interested, I'm sure there will be lots of photos and commentary on Twitter and Instagram.
In celebration of Canada, I want to share five different local green beauty brands that are working to create exquisite products without the harmful chemicals.
Leaves of Trees is actually based here in Toronto. They're a unique company that uses sustainable practices to harvest their ingredients. They base their products on argan oil, my favourite of all oils. It's a hydrating, repairing, and really nourishing oil that has so many applications.
Cocoon Apothecary is located here in Ontario. It was founded on the ideas of naturally taking care of our skin, without harmful ingredients.
I love Rocky Mountain's fun, simple, holistic approach to green beauty. They're very engaged in creating natural products and creating a supportive community.
I love their foot butter, which comes in a unique, deodorant style packaging. But they offer an entire range of products, from bar soaps to facial care to aromatherapy. They also have lots of gift sets which are an affordable way to try out lots of their green beauty options.
Wildcraft Care is a Toronto based company that offers a minimal skincare and body care line with simple and nourishing ingredients. You can treat your skin to a reviving Geranium Orange Blossom Toner, or your body to a super hydrating Lemongrass Body Cream.
But they also offer spa services at different locations in the GTA area. I love that because instead of leaving my skin to chance, I trust their knowledge, expertise, and products when it comes to spa facials.
What are your favourite Canadian green beauty brands?
Until next time,
