When I first saw the gorgeous cover of Willow and Sage, I just had to get it. It's filled with unique, simple, DIY recipes to treat yourself from head to toe. They're interesting, with fresh ingredients and different ideas.
Today, I wanted to share three DIY recipes with you so you can treat yourself. They're all inspired by Willow and Sage, but I've made some adjustments to simplify the recipes and make them all vegan. To see the original recipes, you can purchase the Summer 2016 copy of Willow and Sage here.
Exfoliating Kiwi Face Mask //
Kiwi has lots of natural enzymes so it's going to really help exfoliate your skin. The avocado oil I've used can be replaced with any kind of oil you prefer for lots of hydration.
1 tsp. Agave Nectar
1 tsp. Avocado Oil
Peel the kiwi and combine the ingredients by hand or with a small blender. Apply to clean skin for ten to fifteen minutes and remove with a warm cloth.
Lavender Green Tea Foot Soak //
This epsom salt soak is going to soften and revive your tired feet, while the lavender soothes, and the green tea gives your feet a healthy dose of antioxidants. It's also a great soak for your hands, or your entire body!
1 cup Epsom Salt
2 Green Tea Bags // 2 tsp. loose green tea
2 tsp. dried Lavender buds
50 drops Lavender essential oil
Simplly combine the ingredients in a bowl before storing in a jar. To use, pour into a bowl of warm water, and dip your feet in! Soak your feet for 20 minutes, or as long as you like.
Invigorating Grapefruit Body Scrub //
I love the smell of grapefruit, and I've become partial to the juice. This body scrub is a refreshing choice for Spring and Summer to brighten and soften your skin.
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Coconut Oil
2 TB Fresh Grapefruit Juice
20-30 drops Grapefruit or Lemon Essential Oil
Blend in a blender or mix by hand. Store in a glass jar for no more than 3 months.
